Question:
In Elipse SCADA, can I create an application that supports multiple languages? Is there any mechanism to switch languages?
Solution:
Elipse SCADA has a native translator tool that can be accessed by right-clicking the Application item in the Organizer. This tool displays a list with all application’s strings and allows editing the values by pressing F2. However, you can only translate the strings from one language to another.
To support multiple languages in the application, you can use Recipes to save the text of buttons, text zones, displays, titles, etc. So, there is a recipe for each necessary language, which can be easily changed at run time by the users.
