KB-33043: Imported objects’ scripts.

Question:

When I import an object, the graphics are displayed correctly, but the object’s scripts are not saved. What can I do about it?

Solution:

When you export an object, a .CSV file is created, where the information are saved in chart fields, like the object’s name, color, size, type, links, etc. Unfortunately, it is impossible to save scripts in these fields, whatever E3 object it is.

In this case, you could use E3Studio‘s Document Scripts option. With this function, you can document all scripts in the selected object(s) in a .TXT file.

After documenting them, just copy the exported scripts and paste them onto the respective imported objects.

Another possibility is using Libraries (ElipseX), which allow creating screen objects and data that are easily replicable in this application or in any other. For further information, see the related articles below.
