Question:
How can I open Internet Explorer in the same window as E3 Viewer while keeping a new E3 Viewer from being opened?
Solution:
This can be achieved in the following ways:
- On the same screen: On Open Screen pick, fill in the desired URL. Do not fill anything in Frame field.
- On a frame: On Open Screen Pick, fill in the desired URL. On Frame field, fill in the name of the desired frame.
- Via Microsoft Web Browser ActiveX: The ActiveX object must be registered, and then inserted by E3 Studio via Tools-Add ActiveX menu. After that, right-click on the desired screen and insert Web Browser ActiveX control. On the button that calls the browsing, you must add a script using ActiveX’s Navigate method to pass the desired URL.
