Is it possible to run Elipse E3 or Elipse SCADA on a virtual machine, like VMWare?

Solution

Yes. Both Elipse SCADA and Elipse E3 run in virtual machines. As for the license, if the virtual machine does not allow access to the computer’s USB or parallel port, there are three options:

1. Use softkey (Elipse E3 only).
2. Using hardware that provides a USB port via network, like AnywhereUSB, by Digi.
3. Using software that provides remote access to USB ports from other computers via network, like USB Over Network, by Fabula Tech, or USB to Ethernet Connector, by Eltima Software.
