Question:
How can I set up the Viewer to keep the same screen proportions in Elipse E3 in different monitor resolutions?
Solution:
The Viewer is an object that allows visualizing the application. With it, users can view Screens at run time, as well as edit the application. A Viewer can execute from any point on the network that has access to an E3 Server. You won´t need to copy the application to other Viewers, because Screens and resources are downloaded at run time as needed. There can only be one Viewer per Domain.
Keeping the same screen proportions in different monitor resolutions is easy. To do so, just set up the Viewer‘s Zoom to All Screen. But you should notice that in this case, the Viewer will add an empty strip either to the right part of the screen or the bottom, according to the chosen resolution, in order to make up for the different resolution.
If you want the screen to fit the whole monitor, set up the Zoom as Fit. However, this could stretch the screen and consequently distort any objects on it.
