KB-33713: Setting width in Browser’s columns.

Question:

Can I set a Browser’s column width in SCADA?

Solution:

Yes, but this cannot be done directly.

Width depends on the size of the field’s content, which is set automatically, and not on the title. If the field is 20 characters long, for example, its width is set to displays all 20 characters. If it is a 8-character long number with two decimal places (12345678,99), the column’s width is set with enough space to display this value.

To increase width, go to Browser’s Database column and set a higher number in Size option (digits for numbers, characters for string), so it will be long enough to pass the title’s size.

In the case of DateTime column, you must click Date Format button, also on Database tab, and fill in blank spaces at the end of the line. For example: “dd/mm/yyyy hh:mm:ss

NOTE: Setting up a larger size does NOT mean the number will be completed with zeroes (00005.22). The number will still be displayed as 5.22, but with enough room for 12345.22, if necessary.
