Question:

Can I use OPC communication to exchange information between two E3 applications?

Solution:

Yes, you can, but we don’t recommend doing so: when there is a network problem, Windows usually hangs for a while because OPC uses DCOM to establish the communication.

So, we suggest that you use the E3 Remote Domains feature, which uses a protocol developed by Elipse, and not the DCOM.
