Up until version 3.0.113, encrypted passwords (user/login) were saved by the TrendExplorer taking into account the user logged in and the computer’s name, in order to avoid having encrypted passwords copied by other users. For example, if a TrendExplorer’s file were sent by e-mail to a user/computer where the file was not created, the database’s password and login had to be informed again. Since you can’t always use the computer and the user names with encryption, it could lead to problems when saving or reading articles.
Therefore, this feature was removed from the TrendExplorer. From version 3.0.114 on, the user and their password are encrypted when saving the file, but the file can be opened by users who didn’t create the file. The password saving behavior, once automatic, is now optional.
To include the database’s password into the file, use the option Save password.
