Can an application developed with Elipse SCADA migrate to Elipse E3? If so, which components in this application can migrate successfully?
Solution:
Yes, it can. In this case, you can export just screens, tags, alarms, and drivers (I/O tags and blocks) to be imported directly by E3.
To do so, follow these procedures:
1. At Elipse SCADA, select the object’s properties via Organizer, click ‘Export…’, and save the files in the application as E2F. The export of tags generates two files, one for tags and one for alarms.
2. At Elipse E3, right-click the object and select ‘Import…’, choosing the corresponding file.
Notice that you cannot do the same at Elipse SCADA, since there is no function for importing via a generated file.
