How can I establish communication between Elipse E3/SCADA and S7-1500 PLC?
Solution:
To do so, follow these procedures at the TIA Portal V12 or V13 settings:
1. Enable Full access (no protection) and Permit access with PUT/GET communication from remote partner options at the device’s settings.
2. Disable Optimized Block Access option at the DB’s settings because, on optimized mode, the variable’s addresses are dynamic and therefore can’t be identified by the driver. If the option can’t be unchecked, edit any of the previously set options, which will cause the TIA Portal to consider it as not compiled. After that, it will be possible to uncheck the property, save it, and compile it again.
