Question:
Why does the message “Error changing registry data”, regarding the permissions granted to the program, pop up when installing an Elipse system (E3 or SCADA) when it is trying to register to the computer?
Solution:
This happens whenever an antivirus is not properly set up (such as McAfee, for example), which ends up blocking some necessary processes to execute the program.
If this happens when installing the system, follow the procedures detailed at the article KB-35858: Setting up an antivirus to work with E3.
