Question:
How can I set the Viewer to open in dual monitors on Windows 7? Unlike Windows XP, where the X axis’s resolution is doubled when the monitor is extended, each monitor on Windows 7 has its own resolution.
Solution:
To do so, follow these procedures:
- Set Windows 7 monitors to work in extended mode.
- Set the Viewer’s to open in windowed mode; on Width field, input the sum of the two monitors’ resolutions.
- Insert a Frame and split it vertically. Set the frame’s SplitValue property to display the main monitor’s X axis’ resolution. (Keep in mind that SplitValue property’s value are in Himetric; 1 pixel is approximately 26.4 Himetric.)
- On Viewer settings’ E3 Viewer tab, go to field Initial Screen or Frame, and set the Frame previously created.
