Question:
The status of a switch reported by a relay is taking more time than expected to be updated on screen, after TRIP command was sent by E3. Why does this happen?
Solution:
This can happen because the relay does not have dead band settings for the analog data.
Thus, too much data needs to be transmitted, which creates a queue of events in the relay. When the digital variable changes, this event goes to the end of the queue and it takes more time than the expected to be sent. So, although the TimeStamp is correctly received, it will be late.
To fix the problem, just configure the dead band for the analog data.
