Is there a driver to send SMS messages via E3?
Solution:
Yes, there is. To do so, you can use the driver Siemens M20. If you are not equipped with Siemens’ devices, you must check the driver’s compatibility with the current modem, comparing the commands available in the modem to the ones described in the driver’s manual. Usually, these commands are the same for all modems.
If you want to use the driver, even if it is only for testing purposes, you must use a Secret Number to enable its proper use. To obtain this number, connect the device to E3 and set a tag to read its Serial Number.
N1 = 16 (AT+GSN: Request TA serial number identification (IMEI)), and uncheck write.
The Extra Settings window must also be configured.
After the Serial Number (IMEI) is read, send this number to Elipse’s technical support to generate the Secret Number. After the code generated by Elipse is pasted to the Extra Settings window, the driver will be ready for use.
