Question:
Can I access from the same machine, via WebViewer, both Elipse E3 version 3.1 and Elipse E3 version 2.5?
Solution:
Yes. To do so, follow these procedures:
- Access via web the application executing E3 v2.5 (the E3WebViewer v2.5 will be installed).
- Access via web the application executing E3 v3.1 (the E3WebViewer v3.1 will be installed).
- Copy the !Register.bat file from E3 v3.1 installation (where the E3Server runs) to the folder C:\Program Files\Elipse Software\E3 WebViewer of the PC opening the WebViewer.
After that, whenever the application is accessed, you will need to execute the !Register.bat file of the E3 version being accessed. These files are usually on the following paths:
Version 2.5 = C:\Program Files\Elipse E3\Bin
Version 3.1 = C:\ Program Files \Elipse Software\E3 WebViewer
NOTE: If the WebViewer v3.1 is installed before the WebViewer v2.5, the installation won’t go through, and there will be versions compatibility error. Therefore, you must make sure the older version is always installed first.
