How long will it take the standby application to take over as the main application in a servers’ switchover?
Solution:
This time cannot be gauged precisely because it is the result of two different factors: the activation time of the standby server, and the time the server will take to load the whole application (communication, databases, etc.). The activation time of the standby server is set by the user in E3Admin‘s Options tab.
As for the time the standby server will take to load the application, it depends on the application’s complexity, on the network’s settings, and on the backup computer’s processing and memory.
