Question:
In an application, the behavior of a Historic linked to IOTags is odd:
- Values are recorded as soon as the application starts running, even though it is set up to record only once every hour.
- The value recorded at startup is zero, unlike what is expected.
How can I fix these?
Solution:
As for the first point, this is actually the Historic‘s expected behavior. Data are recorded as soon as the application starts up, and then they will be recorded as often as the time interval set up for the Historic. To change it, you must start the application with a recording scan time of zero, and then edit this property after the application has started.
As for the second point, the data had probably been recorded before the communication with the Driver was established. We suggest changing the Domain activation order, setting the Driver to be loaded before the Database and the Historic.
