Question:
How can I view historic data (showing values/animations/statuses/charts) by using a slider to navigate through time?
Solution:
For this purpose, you can use a feature called E3PlayBack. This is an ActiveX running from inside the Viewer or the WebViewer that allows you to visualize the application’s screens by using historic data stored in other databases. The E3PlayBack searches in the database for tags referred on screens, as well as the other links between Viewer and server (such as Viewer tags with links to server objects), and shows values, animations, statuses, and charts, according to the information existing in the database and to the defined playback.
Its main features are:
- Timeline: allows following visually and controlling the playback clock.
- Screen Area: where the screens in the application are displayed.
- Events List: shows the chronological sequence of events in the playback.
- Tags List: shows the tags being used by the playback.
- Video Recording: lets you genenerate a video (in AVI format) that captures the entire playback ActiveX area for a user-defined period.
- Screen Capture: lets you capture the playback ActiveX area. It can be saved in a BMP file or placed in the Windows transference area.
