Can E3 connect to an Access remote database?
Solution:
Yes. To do so, Access’ .MDB file must be in a shared folder on the network.
To create a shared folder:
– right-click the folder, and access its properties:

– on Sharing tab, click Advanced Sharing… button:

– on the next screen, check Share this folder, and then click Permissions:

– check the option Full Control for user Everyone:

– At E3, set Database object with the folder’s path on the network, and write the name of the.MDB to be created, according to the example below:

IMPORTANT: when opened in a Microsoft Access database, this file can be blocked for edition (as seen in the figure below with banco3):

In this case, E3 may not be able to access the file. To remove its protection, open the file in Access, go to File–Info menu, and select Compact & Repair Database:
