Communicating with SCADA Engine’s BACnet Device Simulator.

To communicate with the SCADA Engine’s BACnet Device Simulator, follow these procedures:

1. Open the file all_object_types.dat in the Simulator.

2. In the driver, add the device manually with the following parameters:

  • Device address: 1
  • IP:  IP address or machine’s name (don’t use ‘localhost’ or ‘127.0.0.1’)
  • Network address: 20
  • MAC: 010000000000
  • Segmentation support: transmit/receive

3. Configure the Ethernet tab as follows:

  • Transport: UDP/IP
  • IP: same IP configured in the device
  • Port: 47808

When using Elipse E3, simply import the tags via Tag Browser’s Generic BACnet device folder, changing the character from ‘#’ to ‘0’, and set up the Device field as ‘1:’.

When using Elipse SCADA, simply set up the tags according to the driver’s manual.
