Question:
If an IOTag’s N/B parameters are edited at run time, will more I/O licenses be consumed?
Solution:
Yes. By default, both Elipse E3 and Elipse SCADA consume an I/O license for each new address read in the PLC.
For example: in an application with only one IOTag, whose N/B parameters have been edited via scripts to read the addresses 100, 101, and 102, three I/O points will be consumed from the total amount set up at the license.
