KB-33841: Configuring tags whose N3 parameter is higher than 65535.

Question:

The addressing format in the device is AI:3000019,  but the tag’s N3 parameter only supports values no bigger than 65535. How can I fix this?

Solution:

BACnet protocol supports a 22-bit objects address (0 to 41943303 or 0x3FFFFF). The current driver, however, supports only 16 bits (on tag’s N parameters), from 0 to 65535.

A new version of BACnet driver, supporting 22-bit addressing, is currently on the development stage, and is expected to be published as soon as possible. Until then, though, if you need support for 22 bits, you must contact Elipse Software’s technical support and request the driver’s beta version.
