KB-26825: Sending data via serial port.

Question:

I want to send data via the computer’s serial port (to write in the device’s internal registers). Can ASC II Generic driver do this?

Solution:

Yes; however, the device must also understand ASC II. ASC II driver will only transmit the message; it is the device’s job to interpret it, and then write in the registers. If the device does not have the protocol, you will not be able to establish communication.

You can download all drivers by Elipse at the website.
