How can I change the physical layer from serial to Ethernet?
Solution:
To do so, the Driver must belong to the IOKit. The IOKit is a shared component used by Elipse’s I/O drivers to implement standard access to the physical layerI and provide interfaces to Serial ports, Modem (via TAPI), Ehternet (WinSockets via TCP/IP or UDP/IP) and RAS (Remote Access Server). If it does so, open the Driver’s Extras Settings and change Physical Layer parameter on the Setup tab to Ethernet.
After that, just perform the IP and port settings in the Ethernet tab.
