Question:
When I tried to open an application, the following message was displayed: “This is not an application file of Elipse SCADA”. What could be happening?
Solution:
The .APP file is probably corrupted. To work around this situation, follow these procedures:
- Check if there is a file with the same name as the .APP file, but with .BAK extension.
- If there is one, delete the .APP file.
- Change the extension of the .BAK file to .APP.
The .BAK file is the application’s backup. It is generated whenever the option Create backup file (BAK) when saving the application, on File–Options menu, is checked.
