What settings are required to establish communication between Omron FINS driver and a PLC?
Solution:
In the example below, the PLC’s model is CJ1M – CPU13-ETN. This CPU’s model already brings an Ethernet port. The network protocol is UDP/IP.
Extra settings (FINS tab):
FINS Addresses (PLC): 001.001.00
Source Addresses (PC):
Network: Same as the local PLC
Node: Different from the local PLC’s node, and different from zero
Unit: Not used
PLC Type: CS/CJ
Tag settings (read only):
N1: As set on Extra Settings
N2: 105 (Work Word)
N3: Initial read address (valid address, and whose type is in accordance to N2)
N4: 0
“Write?” checkbox disabled
Note: The physical layer must be connected accordingly, and the tag’s settings must be similar to the ones in the example above. If any of these parts is not ok, the communication may present Error!
