{"id":3559,"date":"2019-03-25T17:44:52","date_gmt":"2019-03-25T20:44:52","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/xexeu.elipse.com.br\/pt\/remote-applications-maintenance-in-elipse-e3\/"},"modified":"2019-06-10T13:59:43","modified_gmt":"2019-06-10T16:59:43","slug":"remote-applications-maintenance-in-elipse-e3","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kb.elipse.com.br\/en\/remote-applications-maintenance-in-elipse-e3\/","title":{"rendered":"Remote applications maintenance in Elipse E3."},"content":{"rendered":"<div align=\"justify\">\n<p><b><u>Introduction<\/u><\/b><\/p>\n<p>With E3Studio, you can edit applications from afar, that is, you can change projects, libraries and even settings remotely, as well as update servers without personally having to go where they are installed.<\/p>\n<p>To do so, there are two courses of action: one of them is a general procedure, fitting for any situation, and the other one is exclusive for two applications in hot-standby (Elipse E3 version 3.0 or higher).<\/p>\n<p><b><u>General Procedure<\/u><\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Copy all domain files to the computer running the Studio (<b>note<\/b>: the file paths should be identical to the ones in the server).<\/li>\n<li>Edit the settings at the computer running the Studio.<\/li>\n<li>Copy the edited files to the server (or servers, in case you&#8217;re using hot-standby), overwriting the older files.<\/li>\n<li>Connect the Studio to the domain server via <b>File <\/b>menu&#8217;s <b>Connect to<\/b> option.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div align=\"center\"><img loading=\"lazy\" title=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/kb.elipse.com.br\/pt-br\/images\/ID5255\/1.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"279\" height=\"287\" align=\"Baseline\" border=\"0\" \/><\/div>\n<ul>\n<li>Click\u00a0\u00a0<img loading=\"lazy\" title=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/kb.elipse.com.br\/pt-br\/images\/ID5255\/2.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"26\" height=\"21\" align=\"Baseline\" border=\"0\" \/>\u00a0 button to update the changes in the server.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>NOTE<\/b>: In Elipse E3 versions 2.5 or lower, the remote communication between E3 modules was carried out via DCOM, therefore it&#8217;s necessary to check its settings.
