{"id":3496,"date":"2019-03-25T17:44:34","date_gmt":"2019-03-25T20:44:34","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/xexeu.elipse.com.br\/pt\/creating-tags-manually-at-snmp-driver\/"},"modified":"2019-07-04T17:30:55","modified_gmt":"2019-07-04T20:30:55","slug":"creating-tags-manually-at-snmp-driver","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kb.elipse.com.br\/en\/creating-tags-manually-at-snmp-driver\/","title":{"rendered":"Creating tags manually at SNMP Driver."},"content":{"rendered":"<div align=\"justify\">\n<p><b>Question:<\/b><\/p>\n<p>How can I create tags manually at the SNMP Driver?<br \/>\n<b><br \/>\nSolution:<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Whenever you follow the procedures at the article <a href=\"https:\/\/kb.elipse.com.br\/en-us\/questions\/4907\/KB-58480%3A+Error+when+importing+a+MIB+file.\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><b>KB-58480: Error when importing a MIB file<\/b><\/a>, and yet the agent&#8217;s tags are still not displayed at the Tag Browser&#8217;s TreeView (as seen below), your tags will have to be created manually.<\/p>\n<div align=\"center\"><img loading=\"lazy\" title=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/kb.elipse.com.br\/pt-br\/images\/ID5185EN\/Picture_1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"368\" align=\"Baseline\" border=\"0\" \/><\/div>\n<p>This error occurs because: a) the MIB file&#8217;s format is not supported by Elipse, or b) the file is corrupted.<\/p>\n<p>Either way, you will have to use an external program to open the MIB file. One such program is <b>Paessler MIB Importer and Converter<\/b>, which can be downloaded for free from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.paessler.com\/tools\/mibimporter\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">this link<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>After opening the MIB file in the program at <b>Import .MIB<\/b> option, you will need to copy the address of the desired tags.<\/p>\n<p>The figure below illustrated the program&#8217;s interface:<\/p>\n<div align=\"center\"><img loading=\"lazy\" title=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/kb.elipse.com.br\/pt-br\/images\/ID5185EN\/Picture_2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"369\" align=\"Baseline\" border=\"0\" \/><\/div>\n<p>The variables in the device are displayed to the left, and their properties to the right. To set up the tags, select the variables to be read from the device, and set up each tag&#8217;s <b>Device <\/b>and <b>Item <\/b>fields.<\/p>\n<p>The <b>Name <\/b>field can be set up with any name, because the driver searcher for the variable&#8217;s reference via <b>Device <\/b>and <b>Item <\/b>fields.
