Is this the standard behavior?<\/p>\n<p><b>Solution:<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>File virtualization<\/b> was a feature introduced by Microsoft when Windows Vista was launched.\u00a0 Developed as part Microsoft&#8217;s User Account Control (<b>UAC<\/b>), any application trying to write in places protected by the operating system can be redirected to the VirtualStore folder.<\/p>\n<p>Some of the application&#8217;s tasks are considered administrative tasks and can&#8217;t be performed by standard users, only admin users. However, an application may require administrative privileges even they aren&#8217;t necessary.<\/p>\n<p>When Elipse SCADA (or Elipse E3) tries to write on <b>Program files<\/b> or <b>C:\\<\/b> folders, for example, this writing will be redirected to a special folder. Thus, the application will be able to read\/write data without generating any failure.
