Why does this happen, and how can I work around this?<\/p>\n<p><b>Solution:<\/b><\/p>\n<p>This is the default behavior. The <i>PathName <\/i>will return the object&#8217;s path inside the domain to which it belongs. Which means, if the object belongs to the remote domain, the <i>PathName <\/i>will return its path inside that domain, but without the Domain&#8217;s name.<\/p>\n<p>To work around this, you can concatenate the remote domain&#8217;s name with the desired object&#8217;s <i>PathName<\/i>.<\/p>\n<div align=\"left\">Example: <span style=\"font-family: Courier New;\">&#8220;RemoteDom:&#8221; &#038; Application.GetObject(&#8220;RemoteDom:Data.Tag1&#8221;).PathName<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>This will return: <b>RemoteDom:Data.Tag1<\/b><\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Question: When using the PathName of an object in the remote domain (for example, RemoteDom:Data.Tag1), the complete path won&#8217;t return (in the example, only Data.Tag1 returns).
