{"id":2210,"date":"2019-03-25T17:38:32","date_gmt":"2019-03-25T20:38:32","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/xexeu.elipse.com.br\/pt\/upgrading-the-hardkey\/"},"modified":"2025-01-27T15:53:11","modified_gmt":"2025-01-27T18:53:11","slug":"how-to-upgrade-elipses-hardkey-softkey-via-hkcustomer","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kb.elipse.com.br\/en\/how-to-upgrade-elipses-hardkey-softkey-via-hkcustomer\/","title":{"rendered":"How to upgrade Elipse&#8217;s hardkey\/softkey via HKCustomer."},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" align=\"justify\">This article illustrates the necessary steps to upgrade the programming memory of Elipse&#8217;s hardkey or softkey via HKCustomer.<\/p>\n<h3 align=\"justify\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Upgrading the application:<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>First, you must download the following application from the Elipse <a href=\"http:\/\/www.elipse.com.br\/eng\/download_e3.aspx\">website<\/a>:<\/p>\n<div align=\"justify\">\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.elipse.com.br\/en\/downloads\/?key=hkcustomer&#038;language=enus\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">HKCustomer<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Installing the driver:<\/span><\/h3>\n<div align=\"justify\">\n<p>After that, install the hardkey\/softkey&#8217;s driver by executing the file <strong>\u201cDrivers\\Install.bat\u201d<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>If you have any issues during installation, follow the guidelines in <a href=\"https:\/\/kb.elipse.com.br\/en\/undetected-hardkey-elipse-e3-runs-on-demo-mode\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Hardkey not detected; E3 runs on Demo mode.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Saving and sending the key&#8217;s programming:<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Now, you will need to save the hardkey&#8217;s or softkey&#8217;s programming and send it to <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Elipse Software<\/span>. To do so, follow these procedures:<\/p>\n<p>1. Connect the hardkey to the computer.<\/p>\n<p>2. Execute the <b>HKCustomer <\/b>software locally (<strong>remote access only for softkey<\/strong>).<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div align=\"justify\">3. Select the desired hardkey\/softkey, and then click <b>Next<\/b> on the Wizard that pops up; <strong>when upgrading an empty softkey that has been recently activated, select the Empty option:\u00a0<\/strong><\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div align=\"center\"><img loading=\"lazy\" title=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/kb.elipse.com.br\/en-us\/images\/ID3601\/Fig02.JPG\" alt=\"\" width=\"505\" height=\"391\" align=\"Baseline\" border=\"0\" \/><\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div align=\"justify\">4. To copy the hardkey&#8217;s current programming, select the<b> Copy Hardkey<\/b> option and click <b>Next<\/b>:<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div align=\"center\"><img loading=\"lazy\" title=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/kb.elipse.com.br\/en-us\/images\/ID3601\/Fig03.JPG\" alt=\"\" width=\"507\" height=\"390\" align=\"Baseline\" border=\"0\" \/><\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div align=\"justify\">5. Select the folder to generate the text file (TXT) with the hardkey&#8217;s current programming and click the <b>Next <\/b>button:<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div align=\"center\"><img loading=\"lazy\" title=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/kb.elipse.com.br\/en-us\/images\/ID3601\/Fig04.JPG\" alt=\"\" width=\"502\" height=\"389\" align=\"Baseline\" border=\"0\" \/><\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div align=\"justify\">6. Click the <b>Finish <\/b>button to close the Wizard:<\/div>\n<div align=\"justify\"><\/div>\n<div align=\"justify\">7. Send the generated file via e-mail to your sales representative at Elipse Software so that they can reprogram it.<\/div>\n<div align=\"justify\"><\/div>\n<div align=\"justify\">8. Elipse Software will automatically send an e-mail to your company&#8217;s contact with the new hardkey&#8217;s programming.<\/div>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Reprograming the key:<\/span><\/h3>\n<div align=\"justify\">\n<p>After receiving the new file, follow these steps below in order to reconfigure the hardkey:<\/p>\n<p>1. First, connect the hardkey to the computer.<\/p>\n<p>2. Then, execute the <b>HKCustomer <\/b>software; this is the same program that you used for generating the programming.<\/p>\n<p>3. A wizard pops up; select the desired hardkey\/softkey and click <b>Next<\/b>:<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div align=\"center\"><img loading=\"lazy\" title=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/kb.elipse.com.br\/en-us\/images\/ID3601\/Fig06.JPG\" alt=\"\" width=\"503\" height=\"387\" align=\"Baseline\" border=\"0\" \/><\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div align=\"justify\">4.\u00a0 Select <b>Edit Hardkey<\/b>, and then <b>Next<\/b>:<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div align=\"center\"><img loading=\"lazy\" title=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/kb.elipse.com.br\/en-us\/images\/ID3601\/Fig07.JPG\" alt=\"\" width=\"505\" height=\"387\" align=\"Baseline\" border=\"0\" \/><\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div align=\"justify\">5.
