This article will first present this new tool, and then show how it can be used in a demo application.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>TrendAnalysis<\/strong> is a tool for displaying history data that uses tags provided by <strong>Elipse E3<\/strong>&#8216;s <a href=\"https:\/\/kb.elipse.com.br\/en\/kb-112446-automatic-pen-with-data-source-in-multiple-historians\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">automatic history<\/a> service (the tag being used must be stored in a Historic). Therefore, the main resources from TrendAnalysis are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Capacity for large amount of data<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Clear time scale visualization for any zoom level<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Scrolling and zooming by escale or by area<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Searches by previous, next, or interpolated value<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Automatically updated displays<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Points can be viewed per quality or null values<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Permanent pens framework by axis<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">This tool is available both via <strong>GetTrendAnalysis <\/strong>method, for adding and editing, and <strong>ShowTrendAnalysis <\/strong>method (E3 Viewer), for viewing. The resulting window is in the figure below:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-12612\" src=\"http:\/\/kb.elipse.com.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/1_12519EN.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"549\" height=\"365\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The options for setting up the tabs on TrendAnalysis are:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Displays tab<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">This tab shows the pens corresponding to the data available at Connections tab. Thus, the options available via right-clicking the Display are in the table below.<\/p>\n<table style=\"height: 237px;\" width=\"845\">\n<thead>\n<tr>\n<td>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Option<\/span><\/h4>\n<\/td>\n<td>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Description<\/span><\/h4>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/thead>\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><em>Select columns<\/em><\/p>\n<\/td>\n<td style=\"text-align: left;\">Allows selecting which columns will be displayed for the Pens<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td><em>Automatic update<\/em><\/td>\n<td>Enables or disables automatic update mode<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td><em>Show rows in the grid<\/em><\/td>\n<td>Shows or hides grid rows in the Pens area<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td><em>Show min.\/max. points\u00a0<\/em><\/td>\n<td>Shows or hides the Pens&#8217; min.\/max. points<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td><em>Show local subtitle\u00a0<\/em><\/td>\n<td>Shows the subtitle with the Pen&#8217;s name and its respective color<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td style=\"text-align: left;\"><em>Interpolate<\/em><\/td>\n<td style=\"text-align: left;\">Uses interpolation to draw the Display<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Bookmarks tab<br \/>\n<\/strong><br \/>\nThis tab allows adding a bookmark to a certain time period in a Pen. To do so, right-click the tab area and select New Bookmark to open the following window.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-12613\" src=\"http:\/\/kb.elipse.com.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/2_12519EN.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"421\" height=\"241\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Connections tab<br \/>\n<\/strong><br \/>\nThis tab shows the connection between Elipse E3 and the available tags in use for Displays. To add a Pen, drag a tag to the Displays area or then right-click a tag and select <strong>Add<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Displays area<br \/>\n<\/strong><br \/>\nThe title bar in a Display will show an icon to represent the Displays&#8217;s reproduction mode, which can be either playing <a href=\"http:\/\/kb.elipse.com.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/12519\/3a.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-12558\" src=\"http:\/\/kb.elipse.com.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/12519\/3a.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"18\" height=\"19\" \/><\/a> or paused <a href=\"http:\/\/kb.elipse.com.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/12519\/4b.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-12559\" src=\"http:\/\/kb.elipse.com.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/12519\/4b.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"19\" height=\"20\" \/><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>When in playing mode, the Time Scale moves to the future, thus allowing you to track values in real time.
