{"id":11304,"date":"2020-08-12T13:21:23","date_gmt":"2020-08-12T16:21:23","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/kb.elipse.com.br\/en\/?p=11304"},"modified":"2020-08-12T13:21:23","modified_gmt":"2020-08-12T16:21:23","slug":"working-with-zoom-in-proportional-resolutions-at-elipse-e3-power","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kb.elipse.com.br\/en\/working-with-zoom-in-proportional-resolutions-at-elipse-e3-power\/","title":{"rendered":"Working with zoom in proportional resolutions at Elipse E3\/Power."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In order to apply zoom to screens and videowalls with different resolutions running <a href=\"https:\/\/www.elipse.com.br\/en\/produto\/elipse-e3\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Elipse E3<\/a>\/<a href=\"https:\/\/www.elipse.com.br\/en\/produto\/elipse-power\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Power<\/a> without any distortions to its objects and images, we can use any of the following facilitating resources:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Vector graphics.<\/li>\n<li>Resolutions with the same format or proportions.<\/li>\n<li>Using zoom when opening Screens or <a href=\"https:\/\/kb.elipse.com.br\/en\/category\/english\/elipse-e3-en\/frames-2\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Frames<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Vector graphics<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Vector graphics are points, lines, curves and shapes that are based on mathematical formulas. When you scale a vector image file, it isn&#8217;t low resolution and there&#8217;s no loss of quality, so it can be sized to however large or small you need it to be. In comparison, raster art (also referred to as bitmaps or raster images) is created using colorized pixels. Therefore, vector graphics show no deformities. In the figure below, there are other examples of proportional resolutions:<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_10989\" style=\"width: 949px\"  class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-image-10989 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/kb.elipse.com.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/10986\/FormatosProporcionais.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"949\" height=\"713\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">Proportional resolutions<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Using zoom when opening Screens or Frames<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>When using Elipse E3\/Power, it&#8217;s possible to apply zoom every time we open screens in the Viewer. The available options for zoom are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Fit Screen<\/strong>: Adapts the screen to the whole available space on the FrameSet\/Frame\/Viewer.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Whole Screen<\/strong> or<strong> Whole Page <\/strong>(older versions): Fits the screen while keeping the X and Y proportions of all its objects.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Fit Height<\/strong>: Adapts the image to the screen&#8217;s height.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Fit Width<\/strong>: Adapts the image to the screen&#8217;s width.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Percentage<\/strong>: Adapts the image to the chosen percentage.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Next, we will see the different ways in which we can apply these options:<\/p>\n<h4 style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">Viewer<\/h4>\n<p>At the Viewer&#8217;s properties window, check <strong>Viewer Resolution<\/strong> as Automatic, and then set up <strong>Zoom<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_11206\" style=\"width: 438px\"  class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-image-11206 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/kb.elipse.com.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/2_10986EN.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"438\" height=\"430\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">Viewer&#8217;s Properties Window<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<h4 style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">Frame<\/h4>\n<p>At the Frame&#8217;s\/FrameSet&#8217;s properties window, set up the <strong>Zoom<\/strong> option, and then user a <strong>Value<\/strong> in percentage:<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_11207\" style=\"width: 1126px\"  class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-image-11207 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/kb.elipse.com.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/3_10986EN.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"1126\" height=\"774\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">FrameSet&#8217;s properties<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>To make bars\/splitters invisible in the Frame, try setting up\u00a0 <strong>SplitBorder<\/strong> property as <strong>False<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h4><\/h4>\n<h4 style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">Open Screen or Open Modal Screen picks<\/h4>\n<p>Both picks have a field called <strong>Initial Zoom<\/strong>, which establishes the percentage of the screen to be open either in the desired Frame, in the whole Viewer (null or _top), or in a Modal screen (windowed screen):<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_11208\" style=\"width: 798px\"  class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-image-11208 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/kb.elipse.com.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/4_10986EN.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"798\" height=\"513\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">Open Screen pick<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4 style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">OpenScreen(<em>ScreenName, Arg<\/em>) method<\/h4>\n<p>This is a Viewer method. The <em>ScreenName<\/em> parameter establishes which Screen will be opened; additionally, it also establishes the zoom, scrollbar and Screen alignment properties.<\/p>\n<p>Its structure is:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em>&#8220;Screen<span style=\"color: #800000;\">?<\/span>Zoom<span style=\"color: #800000;\">?<\/span>ScrollBar<span style=\"color: #800000;\">?<\/span>Alignment&#8221;<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p>The question mark (<span style=\"color: #800000;\">?<\/span>) is used for delimiting properties. Next, there is a list with its possible values; if no option has been set up, just leave its value empty.<\/p>\n<p>Zoom:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">1<\/span>: Fit screen\/page<br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">2<\/span>: Fit width<br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">3<\/span>: Fit height<br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">4<\/span>: Whole page<br \/>\nPercentage: any numeric value added here that is different from the ones above will be read as percentage.<\/p>\n<p>ScrollBar:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">0<\/span>: Scrollbar inactivated.<br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">1<\/span>: Scrollbar activated (if the screen size is larger than the reserved space)<\/p>\n<p>Alignment:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">0<\/span>: Use default<br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">1<\/span>: Force upper left<br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">2<\/span>: Force center<\/p>\n<p>Example:<\/p>\n<pre class=\"EnlighterJSRAW\" data-enlighter-language=\"asm\">Sub CommandButton1_Click()\r\n 'Abre a tela ScreenTest, com zoom Toda Tela, com Barra de rolagem e Alinhamento Padr\u00e3o \r\n Application.GetFrame(\"_top\").OpenScreen \"ScreenTest?1?1?0\" \r\nEnd Sub<\/pre>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4 style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">DoModal(<em>Screen, Title, Left, Top, Width, Height, Arg, [Flags]<\/em>) method<\/h4>\n<p>The <em>Screen<\/em> parameter works similarly to the <em>ScreenName<\/em> parameter seen in the previous item (same properties and settings).
