Even with the hardkey connected to my computer (and with the LED on, in case of a USB hardkey), the E3 is not detecting the license. How can I fix this?
The hardkey detection tries happen when the E3Server is starting. Since the E3Server is a service automatically executed when Windows startsg, the hardkey is not detected if it is not connected at that time, unless the E3Server restarts. To do so, with the hardkey connected to the computer, follow these steps:
A) Restarting Elipse E3’s services
- Stop E3Server. Right-click the E3Admin icon (next to the Windows clock) and select the Stop E3Server option.
Answer Yes to the next question, and No to the question after that.
Start the E3Server by right-clicking the E3Admin icon and select the Start E3Server option.
Click again the E3Admin icon and select the Licenses option.
- In the license window which opens, check if the license was detected or if it is still on Demo mode.
If after following the previous steps the license is still not detected, follows these next steps:
B) Removing old drivers and reinstalling the updated driver
Repeat step 1A.
Answer Yes to the next two questions.
Download the latest version of the hardkey detection drivers (Hasp SRM Install (haspdinst)) through this link.
Unzip the file.
Execute the application Haspdinst.exe using a command line (menu Start – Run) with the option -FR -KP -PURGE. For example,
"C:\Program Files\Elipse Software\Elipse E3\HASP\haspdinst.exe" -FR -KP -PURGE
Execute the application Haspdinst.exe with the option -i. For example,
"C:\Program Files\Elipse Software\Elipse E3\HASP\haspdinst.exe" -i
- When executing steps 5 and 6, the following message boxes should be displayed:
Restart the computer.
