Question:
After reestablishing the communication lost between the supervisory and several relays, why is the driver not able to access data from the relay’s buffer?
Solution:
When the communication between E3 and a relay is lost, data are stored in a relay’s buffer if they are in a DataSet linked to a Buffered Report.
Thus, just check the IEC61850 driver’s Prefer Buffered Report Control Blocks option to set E3 to be th first to receive data from the relay’s buffer after communication has been restablished.
