Elipse Knowledgebase

Welcome to the newest tool to help using Elipse softwares.

Elipse Knowledgebase is aimed to help users of Elipse software to find out quick answers to doubts or problems they are facing while using them. Be it during development or after applications are done. This space is nothing more than a portal where lots of technical information and tips are gathered. Its database is constantly updated and has a simple language, which is focused on a quick understanding for whom is using it. It is simple to use and the way it works is described next.

When accessing http://kb.elipse.com.br/en-us you will be taken to the main page:

In the header of the page, these are the following options:

Glossary: allows accessing the whole word glossary available on the tool.
Contact: allows the user keeping in touch with Elipse using a form.
Favorites: Link that displays all articles in the database that are marked as favorites.
Login: it is for Elipse internal use only.

Next there is a field Knowledgebase Search.
This field searches the whole database for the word(s) typed by the user, returning all articles that have the word targeted by the search. It is enough to type the desired word and press the Search button.

There is still a possibility to use an Advanced Search, which allows refining the query.
Just access the Advanced Search option.

In the Advanced Search option, the user may type the words to search, filter by a specific category, author, and by the classification of the article. That is, if it helped a lot, just helped, did not help or helped a little.
The user has the possibility to access all articles by directly choosing the category that they belong. For this, in the Categories field, just select the category in which you want to search the articles and then click the Go button.

All articles from this category will be returned as the result of the search.

It is important to notice that the whole database is divided into two main categories: English and Portuguese.
Inside these there are the categories Elipse E3, Elipse Scada, Elipse 21 DOS, Elipse Drivers OPC Altus TCP/IP, and Drivers.

Inside these five categories there are several others, each one dealing with a particular theme.

For example:
Accessing the articles by the category Português > Elipse E3 we have:

Then accessing the articles by the category Português > Elipse Scada we have:

Notice that inside each one of these subcategories there is a number. This number indicates how many articles there are inside the category.

The other sections on the main page of the Knowledgebase are:

Highlighted Articles - Displays all articles that are classified to be highlighted. Normally this section is used to display an article that deserves a special attention by the users of softwares from Elipse.

Most Read Articles - Shows a list of the 10 most read articles in the Knowledgebase.

Last Added Articles - Shows a list of the last 10 articles that were added to the Knowledgebase database.

Most Used Searches - Displays the 10 most used words as a search by the Knowledgebase search tool.
